“Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

About Jung

Carl Gustav Jung was a Swiss Psychiatrist and founder of analytical psychology. His lifelong interest was wholeness. Jung believed that our life task is to become who we really are – what he called “individuation”- becoming an individual. Jung discovered that there are forces beyond our awareness that thwart our best intentions to live according to our true nature. Living at odds with our true selves often results in psychological and physiological difficulty.

Jung believed that there are two distinct worlds:

the daytime world of waking consciousness and the nighttime world of the unconscious. It is the dialogue between the two worlds through the exploration of dreams, images and bodily symptoms that can reconnect us to our health and wholeness and the realization of our full potential and meaning in life.

“Only what is really oneself has the power to heal.”

- C.G. Jung

My Approach

I work with people who desire self-knowledge and a deeper exploration of what keeps them stuck in old destructive patterns that repeatedly sabotage their vitality, relationships and emotional well-being.

Working symbolically with the client’s story, dreams and bodily symptoms, I help them connect with the images and impulses that arise from depths of the unconscious, the living source of renewal and meaning in life.

We look beneath the surface

of a person’s distress in order to connect them with the guiding wisdom of the unconscious. This vital connection can bring them closer to the core of the personality that is whole.

Among the issues that people bring to therapy are anxiety, depression, relationship issues, difficult life transitions, spiritual crisis, bereavement and the search for meaning in life, especially in the second half of life.

“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside awakes.”

- C.G. Jung

Sessions

I meet with clients once a week for one hour. I provide a safe, private and supportive environment in which we explore whatever is emerging in their lives that wants our attention.

The initial session is at no charge.

*In the interest of health and safety during the Covid-19 outbreak I have suspended face-to-face sessions and am instead, offering on-line sessions and phone sessions to existing and new clients.  Please feel free to connect with me to arrange a session.
